The big day is finally here! Today I turn 50 years old! I have already had two days of celebration so I am in full happy mode. Fifty seems to be a great age. I appreciate the wisdom that comes with each new decade. Much of it comes with learning stuff the hard way though. It has a been an extraordinary life so far and I look forward to all that is ahead!
On Thursday I received birthday flowers from an old friend. They are so pretty!
Yesterday I met up with my mom for birthday lunch. We had Famous Dave's barbecue, which was awesome! She had a mountain of presents for me, all of which were gorgeous! Afterward we went and did a little shopping at HomeGoods, which is one of the best stores ever! I bought these two treasures:
You all know, I love me some vintage. I fell in love with this box. It is actually quite large. I have no idea what I am going to do with it, but I had to have it.
The other thing I fell in love with was this large pasta serving type dish. The photo is a bit deceiving because it is HUGE! It is 14 inches in diameter. I thought that it is very unique and lovely. I plan on getting a bowl stand and standing it upright in my kitchen as decor. Again, I just fell in love with it.
So now I am off for more birthday fun! Enjoy your Saturday!
