Back To The Land Of The Living

Well, I am finally back.  This cold has been awful.  On Sunday I woke up and realized that I was not getting better after five days and my breathing had a certain whistling sound.  I called my doctor's office and the doctor on call told me I needed to get down to the Urgent Care Center.  Turned out I had bronchitis.  The doctor told me I had to stay in bed for the next three days.  Today was day three.  I was too sick to stitch, read or do anything remotely interesting.  My highlight was watching Real Housewives of New Jersey re-runs while I dozed on the sofa.  I have to say that my sweet little angel nurse, Liesl, has been amazing.  She has just laid down quietly near me everyday.

While I did not get to stitch the past few days, I do have an updated photo to share from the last time I was able to stitch.  Here is my WIP.  I am now on the top row of the top section.
I think it is rather dramatic.

Tonight I decided to make myself a simple yet healthy dinner after the past several days of canned soup.  I made Martha Stewart's Soba Noodle Salad.  It is so good and the buckwheat soba noodles are really good for you.  Here is the recipe:  http://www.marthastewart.com/318861/soba-noodle-salad

I am hoping that I am going to be feeling better by the weekend so that I can get some yard work done.  I feel like I need to take a machete back there when I look out of the window.  The guilt is getting to me for it getting a little bit out of hand.  But Liesl loves it back there, so I guess I should not worry.

Well, I guess I am headed off to dreamland.  I get to return to work tomorrow and I am sure that it is going to be an overwhelming day and I am still not feeling great.  If you could spare a prayer for me I would be so grateful.

Hi Patti, I went through that when I was still teaching. Get lots of rest , go to bed very early, and drink lots of fluids. I kept getting it over and over because I went to work each time too soon! Take good care of yourself.
